I agree, Farasha, that hula is beautiful and bellydance is beautiful, but they should not be fused. Actually it's more that I don't think they can be, since bellydance is not about telling stories with the hands, if that makes sense. Were you referring to the dancing in the very first post or in mine? I thought the hulas I posted were quite interesting, but then I've lived around it for so long it probably all seems interesting to me.
I am all for other types of fusion as long as they are labeled as such. I think it's just that most people really don't understand that hula is a way of moving the hands around and bellydance is not, so it is difficult to fuse them...
