I think you should definitely visit some cities and little towns in Italy! Sienna, Firenze, Perugia, Lucca, Roma, Napoli, etc... Almost every town breaths charm!
In Belgium there's Antwerp, Gent, Bruges, Leuven (this is where I live) which are very nice to wander around, to shop, to taste some of the live there. If you're here the last weekend of May you can see a show with Aziza (check:

Paris is also very nice, Barcelona, Porto, Lisboa, Amsterdam, Maastricht, ....
