I haven't seen any belly dancers ( yet) wearing a crown here in Melbourne. Headbands yes and I quite like a headband, I can't stand the feel of my hair tickling my face, I have a bad habit of scrapping it off and that is not a good look while dancing.
As for a crown wearing BD'ers, no it doesn't appeal to me at all.
I loved crowns and wands and fairy wings
when I was 8, I gave it all up when I turned the grand old age of 10!
