I can tell you another funny story. There is a German belly dancer (who claims to be professional) in my city in Germany, who has given herself the artist name "Chara" (well the "ch" is not spoken like "k" but something like "kh" in Greek), which is Greek and means "joy" (probably she likes Greece). The fatal thing though is, that Chara in Arabian means "shit"



So I visited a show with some Arabian friends some time ago and this lady was dancing at that show. When my Arab friends heard the announcement about her, they were rolling on the floor laughing. Imagine, a belly dancer who is named "shit"
