Im a big Lucy fan as well

Waves to Luci! Thanks for posting the lyrics to the song. I think its so important to have access to lyrics, but most of us dont have an Arab speaker in our back pockets to consult with, so anytime somone is willing to translate and share lyrics its like finding gold.
Anyhoo..
I was fortunate to see Luci live in Chicago when she performed at our humble little hafla held at a rough and ready sports bar on the soutside of Chicago called Tommy's Place. Luci knocked the socks off the owner, and he made the comment that she'd be a tough act to follow.
Which goes to show, IMHO that Egyptian style does not need fancy tricks and gimmicks to capture the heart of the ordinary American audience. If Tommy could "get it" anyone can.
Regarding Yasmilah, Im a big fan as well. I love her pure simple dance in this clip a la Suhair Zaki. I think that comparision is spot on.
