I'm not tall, only 5'4. Wearing costumes above the hip really kind of cuts you in half, making you look shorter and fluffier. Tall, lanky gals can look good with costuming up to the naval but I think shorter gals need all the length we can get. I'd opt for a stocking over wearing the costuming high.

But if I wear my costume below my navel, my scar would look like "butt cleavage," only in
front of my body. Will the body stocking hide that? I know that simply wearing a one-piece outfit would solve the problem. I'll eventually buy some dresses, but I love the two-piece, glitzy cabaret costumes, and I've seen lots of tops online with fringe that hides some of the belly area.
Yeah, I know, I have deep, psychological issues with my scar.
