I have a body stocking by Sugarpetals and one by designs by Janie. The construction of the Sugarpetals stocking is much better, it's cut lower on the leg, it's longer in the torso and is stronger.

I'm not tall, only 5'4. Wearing costumes above the hip really kind of cuts you in half, making you look shorter and fluffier. Tall, lanky gals can look good with costuming up to the naval but I think shorter gals need all the length we can get. I'd opt for a stocking over wearing the costuming high.
