You can go to the Lernhart and Landrox book store in Cairo. I don't remeber the street but its in West il Belad near Midan Talat harb. Ask for a book called THE MANNERS AND CUSTOMS OF MODERN EGYPTIANS by Edward Lane. It was written by an English man named Edward Lane in the 1850s who lived in Egypt for many years at that time. IF you don't find the book there, the bookstore at the American University should have a copy.
Lane describes in great detail what the dancers wore at that time and even made drawings.
