To be honest with you, there is nothing in the Torah, Christian Bible, or the Koran that I know of that says a woman should not be a dancer, or a singer.

how come kor'an ban this and allow that???
The Koran, The Bible and the Torah all teach that women should cover their bodies and hair. Not only the but even the Ancient Greeks, who didn't even believe in one God, made their women cover in public. In fact, the Ancient Greeks were the first ones to force their women to stay in the house and not talk to men outside the family. This was thousands of years before Islam,

Are you aware of the fact that #1: The bedlah was invented by Americans and Europeans in the late 1800s

#2: dancers in Egypt and other Middle eastern countries only started wearing bedlit raks since the 1930s because that is what American and European tourists wanted to see. Before the 1930s ALL the dancers were completely covered and in Turkey, during the Osmanli period, the few women who did dance in front of men did it with their hair and face covered.
If you want to see pictures of how Egyptian dancers dressed, go to my website at:
http://www.tariksultan.com then click on articles, then click on "What is Middle Eastern Dance"? Scroll down to the end and you will see the pictures and drawings. By the way, there are also pictures of the male dancers also.

By the way, Fifi Abdo is famous for dancing in galabeya

they call it in Arabic "Fard" i can't explain the word in english but it's mean that kor'an COMMAND people to do that and they MUST do it

but in Christianity the bible RECOMMEND to people to SHOULD do it
Rodi, what is written in the Christian Bible was also fard. You forget that my family are all traditional christians. If you don't believe me look at every picture of the Virgin Mary, how is she dressed? Look at nuns, how are they dressed. If you don't believe my, why don't you make a picture of the Virgin Mary wearing a belly dance costume. Take it to your church, hang it up and see what happens to you. Better yet, go to your church and ask your priest if the Coptic church believes its okay for a woman to wear a beblah and be a dancer.
