Babylonia, thanks! It really was exciting!!
So I slept most of the time today lol, I was totally exhausted but really happy and excited!! It was great.
The "band" was just one guy on a synthesizer playing turkish tunes and darbukka music. I did some 9/8 and played some zills as well, the audience was wonderful (People thought my dance was (spelling?) çok güzel

) and even the tipping went well. I did accept a tip or two along the straps of my bra from a few women there, they were in before I knew it, but then again nothing went in any off limits places, the rest went neatly to the sides of my belt.
I have found out it is really true you can control the tipping with your attitude, thanks belly_dancer

. Elle, this E=E thing sounds interesting, I will be sure to look into that.
Anyway, I think all went well for a first time, and I feel I have learned a lot even in this one night (So Kharmine, you were right about that going there a novice and coming back a star thing lol, well.. an exhausted star with a headache, but nevertheless..

and I came back with a lot more experience than I went out with). I was nervous before, but as I got out there in my costume everything started to look up for me. I loved the experience though I didn't like the musician that much. I performed one time also with another musician, he was cool, I requested some of the Turkish songs I knew with him and I just let go and danced. After a few songs I really started having fun with both dancing and interacting with the audience, getting them to have fun and dance with me also..
I had a great night, so what more can a dancer wish than to dance happily into the new year??
Happy 2007 everyone!!
