) and I also had some fights with people, because I misunderstood them. The same and worse was with my German in the first years I moved to Germany. So I had to study hard in order to be able to understand the language, the way native speakers use it. I know, it is difficult to do so, especially when you don't live in a country where this language is spoken. But one possibility is to make friends with native speakers and just ask them, when you don't understand something
