Yes And it's people were called Lydians. So actually "Lydia" means the girl from country Lydia. But for me and my husband it had also another meaning, when our daughter was born (20 years ago). Lydia was the name of the woman who became the first Christian in Europe (she was from Northern Greece). At that time we were still very involved in that church I was talking about in my previous posting and the Christian religion meant a lot to us. But nevertheless, it is a very beautiful name and I'm glad, I called my daughter so
